A charming Vermont town, Mendon is in Rutland County. Mendon offers plenty of recreation to enjoy all seasons in Vermont including Mendon Peak (3,840 ft.). It is home to Aitken State Forest which covers 918 acres including hiking access to Bald Mountain (2,090 ft.), hunting, primitive camping, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. It is also where the Appalachian Trail and Long Trail intersect.
Killington Peak is right on the edge of town. Enjoy access to the biggest ski resort in Vermont. Killington Resort offers 1,509 acres of skiable terrain from November to April. 155 trails are served by 22 modern lifts, which include two high-speed gondolas. During the summer months, Killington offers a variety of hiking and mountain biking trails and a scenic gondola right to the summit
Mendon offers easy access to the conveniences of a small city neighboring Rutland. Rutland Regional Medical Center is the second largest hospital in Vermont. Over the past three years, Rutland Regional Medical Center has received over 20 national awards and recognition. Rutland Southern Vermont Regional Airport has local service to Logan International Airport daily.
